播州一献を醸す山陽盃酒造はかつて、高瀬舟が米や材木を運んでいたといわれ,戦国時代の知将黒田官兵衛が秀吉からはじめて1万石の知行地を与えられた縁の地です。
揖保川のほとり、旧城下町である兵庫県宍粟市山崎町に、今から１７０年前江戸期天保８年に創業し、中国山脈の奥深くより流れ出る清流に抱かれ、大自然の恩恵を受け、今日までお酒を造りつづけておられます。

蔵を構えておられる兵庫県播州地方は、日本を代表する酒米「山田錦」「夢錦」を産する日本で屈指の酒米産出穀倉地帯で、良質の米に恵まれています。酒の仕込み水には、創業当初よりこんこんと沸き出でる地元天然水を使用されています。
この大切な自然豊かな恵みを、手間・ひまを惜しまず、手造りにこだわり時間をかける、酒造りを目指し醸し続けておられます。

「播州一献」とは「播州地域の良質の米・水・環境を使い地酒本来の持つ良さを大切に醸したお酒をどうぞ」との思いがこもっています。

昨年2018年11月8日に火災が発生しました。

人的被害はありませんでしたが商品の一部と資材の多くが焼けてしまいました。

仕込蔵・仕込みタンク・麹室が無事だったためお酒造りは出来ています。

壺阪専務は更地になったスペースに100年後も酒造りができている夢を描いていけたらと考えておられます。

SANYOUHAI SHUZOU

Overview

Sanyouhai Shuzou, which brews “Banshu Ikkon”, is located where once flatboats delivered rice and timber. Besides, Kanbei Kroda, a Japanese samurai, received this land from Hideyoshi Toyotomi during the Sengoku period.

Sanyouhai Shuzou was founded in 1837 along the Ibo river, at Yamasaki-cho, Shisou city, Hyogo Pref., known as the former castle town. It has been brewing sake using a clear stream which comes from Chugoku Mountains.

Banshu area in Hyogo, where the brewery is located, is a nationally famous granary and well known for its sake rice, “Yamada Nishiki” and “Yume Nishiki”. They use the local natural mineral water for sake making, which has been springing since the foundation.

They are committed to handmade sake making, and spare no effort to brew great sake, making the best use of these blessings of nature.

Their strong wish to cherish the good points of local sake that come from great rice, water, and environment at Banshu area, creates their signature sake, “Banshu Ikkon”.

A fire broke out at Sanyouhai Shuzou on November 8, 2018. They did not have any casualties, but some products and most of the materials were burnt down. They managed to continue sake making since a brewery, tanks, and a koji-making room (Koji is rice-malt.) were fortunately intact. A manager, Mr. Tsubosaka hopes that they keep brewing sake even at the burnt space for the next 100 years.
