蔵の概要

明治元年（1868年）、清酒専業蔵として創業されました。
蔵のある県北部、宇佐市長洲地区は、酒造りに適した水と、宇佐平野でとれる米、冬の季節風という酒造りに適した環境で、高品質な清酒にこだわり、家族中心で丹精込めて酒造りに励んでおられます。

昭和63年に一旦製造を休止しましたが、平成20年、6代目の帰省を機に製造を再開されました。

一度休止していた蔵を復活させた小松杜氏。

高知県で酒造りの勉強をし大分に戻った際、水の違いでこんなに違うお酒ができることに

驚かれたそう。

地元で生産されている大分三井も小松酒造場と合わせて復活させた杜氏。

近年ではフランス人の見習いと共にお酒造りをしたりアメリカでお酒造り講習会をされたりと

グローバルに活躍されています。

KOMATSU SHUZOUJO

Overview

Komatsu Shuzoujo was founded as a Japanese sake brewery in 1868. Nagasu area of Usa city, where the brewery is located, is a suitable environment for sake making since it has clean water, rice from Usa plains, and the winter monsoon. Family members put a lot of work into making high-quality sake.

At Komatsu Shuzoujo, sake making was suspended in 1988, but the 6^th toji (a chef sake maker) started production again in 2008. After the toji learnt sake making in Kochi Pref., he came back to Oita Pref. Then, he was surprised that the difference of water leads a huge change of sake itself.

The toji resumed brewing Oita Mitsui, a locally made sake, as well as Komatsu Shuzoujo. In recent years, they started to teach how to brew sake to French people and held a sake making workshop in the U.S. Komatsu Shuzoujo has expanded its business globally.
